Summer is a cross-cultural fashion designer with a multitude of experience in a myriad of fields. She is passionate about creating environmentally conscious collections that celebrate diversity and nature and is seeking to leverage unusual background and passions in the world of design by bridging the gap between luxury, conscious consumption, and inclusion. She has a passion for both womenswear and menswear as well as accessory design. With experience spanning across continents and industries.

 

After she emigrated from Harare, Zimbabwe in her teenage years, she found her new home in, California. There she attended The Happy Valley School for the Arts where she is currently serving on the board of directors. She then received her bachelors from The University of California, Santa Barbara. Summer always had a passion for art and nature, and even did a brief stint as a safari guide.  But after university, she got swooped into business and finance. After a 15 year career in finance and business development, Summer decided to go back to a career closer to her hearts desire. In 2022, Summer attended the De Marcos Fashion Academy, she is now acquiring her masters in fashion design at Istututo Marangoni Milano. She wants to create designs that are inspired by her love of nature, culture, and design.
